Oh yay! Our car seat just arrived! Eeee! You can head over to my main blog to see how I got a great deal on it, if ya want.

Car seat

“Bubs” is testing out the seat right now. He’s a little bear that we got as a baby gift. He’s also tested out our Snugli carrier.

“What’s the bear’s name?” I asked Shane.

“Bubs,” he said.

So, Bubs it is.

You’ll see that there’s a detachable cup holder on the seat. Will it hold a sippy cup in the future? I dunno. If I was a baby with a sippy cup in a car, I’d probably throw it instead of put it in a holder. So we’ll see.

Next up: Some belleh shots. I took these today and I’m 28 weeks on the dot. I’m in my third trimester and my seventh month.

28 weeks

Dirty bathroom mirror. Whatever. Like my hair/expression?

To the side:

28 weeks

And finally, dare I post a picture of my exposed belly? Oh, sure, why not? If you look closely, you’ll be able to see my first stretch mark. I’m sure there’s more where that came from! Also, I now have an “outie” belly button. Lol.

woo hoo! exciting! That car seat looks awesome. our 2 year old’s car seat came with a sippy cup holder too. sometimes she uses it, but most of the time she just takes the cup holder off and throws that!

Oh, and you look wonderful by the way! I can’t imagine ever looking that tiny. Your belly is really cute though! it’s hard to believe that a baby is in there!

Stretch marks are fun aren’t they? wait until you get preggo with #2, you get twice as many.

Lookin’ good!! Loove your jeans!
I’ve been using Burts Bees mama bee belly butter religiously and it is so nice. I don’t know if it does anything with stretch marks but my SIL swears by it. She said that after she started using it she didn’t get anymore of them and a few actually went away. I like the way it feels - it doesn’t just evaporate after a couple of hours. Just wanted to pass that along!!
How are you feeling otherwise?
Love the car seat and “Bubs”!! My mom sent me a pink rubber ducky and it is so cute!!

Thanks! Jeans are from the Old Navy clearance rack–$6.99. Oh yeah!

I’ll look into the Burts Bees stuff. I’ve been putting on baby oil after my showers and that feels nice.

I don’t mind a few stretch marks, since they do fade anyway. What bugs me is the feeling of really tight skin!

I hear ya, that itchy skin is a killer. I use the belly butter every time I get out of the shower and whenever my belly feels itchy. However, its so awesome I only use it once a day. Not sure whats in baby oil but make sure you steer clear of anything with mineral oil. Its derived from crude oil and just sits on top of your skin - not good.

I can’t believe your 28 weeks already! And what a cute little belly. I hope you are enjoying being pregnant. The rest of the time will fly by and your little one will be here before you know it.

I’ve been sticking Lubriderm on my belly whenever it feels tight — and I love how soft it makes the skin feel. I’m not sure it actually does anything for stretch marks but hey, makes me feel productive. :)

You look great, mama!
