I have to say that just today I was contemplating a trip to TJ Maxx…for no real reason, other than to just see what I had to have! And then I looked around my house and thought, “Nope! I’d rather not bring anything else in here today!”

It was a good feeling. But TJ definitely tempts me on a regular basis. So does Target!

I’ve been forgetting to unplug things myself! Maybe I’ll make a quick trip around the house and do that in a few minutes. Our power bill has been substantially higher the past several months due to the cold weather. Seeing how she’s knocking her debt out is getting me excited too!

I confess I am not sure how things work in the States living in Europe and such.
But if I would want to reduce creditcard depts the first thing I would do is to call my bank to talk about a loan to cover my creditcard depts.

I know it sounds kind of insane to get a loan to pay depts off but over here the intrest rates of a bank loan are a lot lower than those for Creditcards. It might be so in the States too. Even if the banks intrest rates are only 2 or 3 percent less it would help a lot with the amount we are talking about.

We bought a bread maker with this in mind and are able to make bread for a fraction of what a loaf would cost us at the grocery store. It tastes a lot better, too! :)

I pick up extra dishes, flatware, and table linens on the cheap at rummage sales. Then when I entertain, I don’t have to buy disposable paper and plastic items that end up in the trash. Being frugal goes along with being green!

We always buy clothes when seasons are over (winter clothes in spring, summer clothes in fall, etc.), buy filters for our Brita pitcher and things like that. It definetely saves us money in the long run. We’re hoping that soon we can pay our car insurance in full so we don’t have monthly payments, too.
