Turbo Tax giveaway and weekend reading

Update: Winner as selected from Random.org was #5, Amanda! Amanda, I’m emailing you your code right now.

The folks at Turbo Tax have offered one free Premier code for filing your federal taxes (state is additional). It’s a $49.99 value. If you’d like a chance to win the code, please leave a comment below. I’ll leave the giveaway open until midnight Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012.

Note that if you need a higher version of Turbo Tax, such as Home & Business, as I do, the code won’t work as a coupon for you. Please only enter if you think you’ll be able to use it.

I’m using the Home & Business version this year and I think it will cover my crazy-complicated tax situation. I appreciate the free tax advice you can get from a CPA. I was chatting online with a CPA about a question, and she ended up calling me on the phone to talk me through it because that was easier.

Disclosure: I am not receiving compensation for this giveaway, and I did not receive a free tax code for my own use. Turbo Tax supplied this giveaway code.

Terms and Conditions:

This code is redeemable at TurboTax.com and good for one free federal + state preparation and e-file with TurboTax Premier Online 2011.  This code can only be redeemed once and is only valid through the 2011 tax season.  Codes may not be redeemed for cash and are not for resale.  Lost or stolen cards will not be replaced.

Don’t enter me, since I’ve already got my copy of Turbo Tax, but I just wanted to say that if you’re comfortable filling out a few of the forms themselves instead of using the wizard for everything, you can still use the regular version of Turbo Tax to file a schedule C & do amortization, etc.

Hey! I'm Kacie, wife and mother of 3. I write about my family's finance: how we save money, improve our spending, and plan for the future.

I hope I can inspire and encourage you to improve your situation. See disclosure.

I'm adopting a much slower-paced posting schedule, and treating this as a hobby blog now.
