What $3 can buy at a consignment store

I’m telling ya, Pittsburgh has the best thrift and consignment stores!

Today, I went to the store that has the $5 fill-a-bag with clearance items. But, I had a $2 off coupon so I got my bag of goodies for $3.

In it:

– A denim maternity skirt

– A pair of grey dress pants, in long length!!! from Gap!

– Two newborn white t-shirts — can’t have enough of those

– Three pair of pants in size 2T, which I think Johnny could possibly wear in the winter? Or he’ll wear them at some point, I think.

– Three pair of boys’ shoes in the next few sizes up

– A fleece hoodie that should fit Johnny in the winter

– A toddler’s baseball cap

People who say babies are expensive must not go to thrift stores.

  1. I am jealous of Pittsburgh thrift stores! Bloomington stores are poopy! I have on rare occasion found something decent… but not often. I also can’t go there as frequently as you have to in order to find the goodies, though!

  2. I live in Georgia and we have great consigment shops and Goodwill Stores. Most all of my clothes come from the Goodwill and it’s all name brand such as Anne Taylor, Banana Republic etc. I love saving money!

  3. Thanks! Took my daughter to Goodwill, bought a pair of jean shorts for 3 bucks, came home a hero!

  4. Ugh, I miss that about the Burgh. The Red White and Blue on the outbound side of the Liberty Tubes? Best. Thrift Store. Ever.
