Quick and easy peanut butter balls
I came upon a recipe from Parents magazine for peanut butter balls, and I knew I had to try them. The recipe:
- 1/2 c all-natural peanut butter (Go with Skippy! It’s yummy)
- 1/3 c honey
- 1 c powdered milk
- 6 oz. dark chocolate
Combine honey, peanut butter and powdered milk. Roll into 20 1″-balls. Melt dark chocolate and dip balls in. Refrigerate until hardened.
That’s it! Now, I think they sort of have a gritty texture, but they are very sweet and do the trick when you want something chocolatey and peanut buttery.
I used a toothpick to help transfer the ball from my pan to a dish.
Next time, I will make them even smaller so there’s a better chocolate-to-peanut butter ratio.
There’s surely yummier versions of this recipe out there, but since the ingredients are so few and it’s so quick, I think this recipe is a keeper.

My favorite PB Ball recipe is:
2 cups PB
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
3 cups powdered sugar (about enough to make a stiff dough)
Mix the ingredients together, roll into small balls, then dip into melted chocolate. For a change, mix in 1-2 cups of rice krispe cereal into the dough, then dip.
These are one of my favorite sweets to make at Christmas time to give away. Always a favorite!
This is a similar variation that looks good. Costco sells fabulous almond butter for a great price!
