Why would anyone that makes a donation to the federal government care if it is tax deductable?

Make a donation to the government and then take a deduction for it?

Ha ha!

I actually really think of myself as helping out the nation in some super small (but still helpful!) way by eliminating my own debt. Once I’m out of debt, I’ll be one less person in this country with that hanging over her head, and I’ll NEVER go back to it. That’s a contribution I can live with!

I make a donation with every paycheck! Too bad they don’t spend it on what I think they should. ;-)
