Wow they are only keeping $50 for the carpets! You are super lucky!!! My old place charged us $400 because the stairs were stained (there were 4 of us and we lived on the 2nd floor). I think we got ripped off, but they wouldn’t budge. Congrats on the Wii! We just bought one used also. How do you like the EA Sports Active?

I’m glad to hear you’re all moved in! I got my tires from Costco too and their prices are reasonable plus you get free tire rotation and balancing. My Toyota dealership wants to charge me $20 for tire rotation every time I bring my car in for oil change. Of course, I always say no and I wait til I go to Costco and get it there for free.

We had an Xbox that rarely got played, so we sold it on eBay for like $40. My husband used to have practically all gaming system out there, but most of those had been sold. They were just collecting dust, I think.

We’ve been going back and forth about getting a used Wii. My husband wants one, I keep telling him “You have an Atari, Nintendo, Super Nintendo & Sega that you don’t play at all right now. When we show that have time for video games, we’ll look into it” but I know deep-down that those old systems don’t compare to a Wii, so it’s not a fair comparison.

I replaced four tires last week on our Honda CR-V. I went to Sam’s Club and they’re applying the $70 Michelin rebate on the spot instead of making you send off for it. After taxes and all their miscellaneous fees (many of which may be able to be avoided — like $3 each for roadside assistance, etc.), I spent $440. That price includes a warranty and free balancing and rotation for the life of the tires.

Not sure what kind of vehicle you’re working with, but we were able to get new tires for our Sebring for about $350 at Smiley’s in Aliquippa. I know that’s a ways from where you are now, but… They’re good guys, and very quick.
