Have a lunch back-up plan
My husband takes a packed lunch to work everyday for his convenience and cost savings. But some days, he rushes out the door without remembering to grab his lunch box. Other times, he needs to work late and gets hungry.
Rather than head to a fast food restaurant, Shane keeps a small stash of ready-to-go lunches for those times. These include those Campbell’s soups in a bowl that you can just heat and eat in the same container.
It’s a simple trick, but it saves money and it works for me!

those are great ideas, i think there are a lot of people that mean well but don’t have anything when they are in a hurry in the morning, which may turn out to be more often than not. good post.
When I commuted, I kept a box of tea bags, oatmeal packets, granola bars, soup etc. I had a mini-mart in my drawer!
My hubby also takes lunch to work. He keeps his drawer well stocked with granola bars nuts and soups.
An absolutely great idea. I do the same at work too with a stash of granola bars, instant oatmeal, etc. Can be used for lunches, or even for small snacks if you get hungry at work and want to avoid those vending machines!
