Way to be content! Rent and save save save! Don't do what we did. We got impatient with renting for only a year and bought a house with very tiny down payment. We bought a fixer upper. We told ourselves over and over how easy everything can be upgraded. Here we are five years later with a 1960's kitchen still waiting to get remodeled!I regret not saving a little more and staying in our rental a little longer. We could have afforded a much bigger house with less need for remodling. Living in a fixer upper is soooo not worth it. If I could turn back the clock that is the one big thing I would have done differently.But I feel your pain. I remember living in our rental and watching HGTV shows and just dying to be one of those happy couples buying their first home.
