I'm just catching up and am so excited for you! Congratulations! You certainly seem to have a wonderful perspective on things. And at least buying newborn diapers has you paying the least per diaper since there are more to a pack. I think there's a Huggies deal next week at CVS, too. I hope you're all sleeping well!

Kacie you make a very good point. I too hate to go to the store and find that they are out of a product I want. With five heads of hair to wash it seems that I am often running out of shampoo and having to pay full price because I didn't plan ahead. I am not gender specific on shampoo and was my boys hair with shampoo marketed to women.

Finally, I am shopping for my family, our church pantry and a women & children's shelter that we will begin donating to this year.

BTW, I left plenty of the $2.99 Garnier Fructis which is still free after coupons.

Congratulations on the birth of your son he is such a cutie and has a great momma.

Happy New Year Kacie!

You are doing awesome!! Please do not fret about how much you have spent on diapers/eating out or heating. The first few weeks with a baby you really are on survival mode. Do what works best for you at the time. You are financially responsible the rest of the time, these few weeks won't set you back at all.
My baby was also tiny like yours and I think he ended up being in size N for three or so weeks and then size ones for a month. But every baby is so different.
Congrats again!

You have an adorable son! Congratulations!

Sounds like you are doing really well. We had the same issue with no newborn diapers, because everyone tells you not to buy many of them, as well as newborn clothes. Our firstborn weighed 5lbs 4oz and was even smaller by the time we came home, so this was a problem. My MIL actually bought us a few outfits of doll clothes for him to wear. He really hates that story, lol. Anyway, he will grow fast, just wait and see.

Again, congratulations on your new little blessing!

Your little boy is much more important than your blog :-). That being said...the craziness at the beginning will wear off, and you'll be back to blogging before you know it. You just have to make it through the no-sleep haze. He's so cute...I'm sure your first Christmas together was so special.

In the picture, he's just in a t-shirt and a diaper with a Christmas-themed dish towel on top. Hehe.

I'm just layering him like the doctor said, with the temp at what they suggested.

I'd be warm in all those layers, but then again I'm able to regulate my body temp and I have fat :)

He does get pretty chilly if we pare it down.
