Check into FedEx Ground (kinkos) too. A couple of times I had larger packages during the last year and they were significantly less expensive than UPS.

Beautiful photo!! You could make it into a Christmas card easily! Thanks for that link to ShipGooder. I've never heard of it, I don't ship often, but when I do it's a hassle going to the various sites to see which way is cheapest. Since USPS gives away free shipping materials (boxes, labels - I still have two big rolls of Priority tape from when they were generous with that, lol) I usually just go with them to make it easier on myself. But if I know it's cheaper another route, I"ll make the effort. Thanks! Are you taking photos of your belly? You should make your Christmas card this year of you, your hubby and "the belly". :-)

Don't forget about the USPS flat rate boxes. They come in two sizes and you can put any weight in them to send for $9.80 (I think that's what it is right now). You just can't alter the box in any way.

This might be a good option for smaller heavy items. I have found these boxes to be a good size and the boxes are free at any post office.

And if you are sending appropriate items don't forget about media mail. But mail early since that takes a bit longer!
