In the past, I’ve mentioned that it’s a good idea to keep track of your rebates to ensure you actually do get your money back.
I’ve also mentioned that Rite Aid is one of my favorite drug stores.
I bought a certain type of toothpaste last week and two other free-after-rebate products, submitted my receipt info online as usual, and waited to check the status of my submission.
The other two products cleared fine, but the toothpaste wasn’t credited. I was quite certain that I bought the correct tube during the correct time period, so I e-mailed customer service about it.
I gave them my receipt info and asked if I purchased the wrong product.
They looked up my record and determined that I did buy the right toothpaste, and credited me with the rebate.
This is the second time that this has happened to me, and it’s possible it’s happened to some of you Rite Aid rebate shoppers as well.
Maybe there’s a glitch in the system? I don’t know.
Just hang on to your receipts until your rebate items clear and you get your check. And if a product isn’t credited and you think it should be, a nice e-mail to customer service will have them promptly look into it.
