Stocking up on diapers now -SMART!You probably will need more size 2's than 1's. We were in 2's for awhile. 1's and 3's breifly, now we're in4s. I lOVE CVS brand diapers. They're my fave store brand, followed by Target, then Walmart. When they're getting changed every 2 hours.....We still stick with Pampers at night...For overnight coverage(now that he;'s not getting up/changed every 2-4 hours) they can't be beat. I did the same with my 3. I got a super mega pack of size 3 diapers at my first baby shower and I thought was a bit odd as the kid wasn't even here yet...but it turned out great having some different sizes stockpiled and we did the same on our own for the 2 younger boys as well. If you find you have a baby that quickly grew out of the size 1 diapers, just try exchanging them at the store for the size you need. "My husband picked up the wrong size, can I switch it for the one we really need?" goes a long way! No one needs to know that you got them on sale...with a coupon...and a rebate.
