And even weirder, I went on a cruise to Alaska with my family last summer. The Nikon was PERFECT for the trip -- I came home with so many amazing shots, and I can't wait to take pics with it all over Europe starting next week. I am definitely willing to compromise quality for some things, like DVD players and printers, but nothing can beat having a great camera. And that Garmin has definitely gotten me out of trouble multiple times...though it has also gotten me into trouble a few times when it's lost signal at terribly inconvenient times or given me wrong directions. But I just recently updated it, so hopefully that helps! Though I'm a little annoyed -- my dad got it for me for Chanukah a few years ago because I'm so directionally impaired, but he just got himself one last year and it's so much sleeker and not clunky at all. Once this Garmin dies, I'm definitely going to get one of the newer, smaller, and hopefully better working one.
