Check the card swiper before you use it. They have had multiple issues with thieves putting scan devices over their credit card swipers. It doesn't interfere with your purchase, it just copies your card # and such and the thieves pick it up again later. To be fair, this is also something that happens using pay at the pump for gas. So it's not isolated to redbox machines. Basically, just look at it carefully before you swipe and it should be fine. I got taken for over $700 before I finally realized what happened and had to have my bank card replaced. Redbox is awesome, the ONLY bad thing is the potential risk. Also, no late fees, just a flat monthly fee. The other nice thing, that I have used, is their "hold" feature, where you can put your account on hold for a certain or indefinite amount of time without having to pay. I did that when I got out of watching movies for a while. Over a year later, I started it back up and my queue was saved just as I'd left it.
