Free $37 credit at Overstock.com — Today only

I saw a great deal on SlickDeals today that I wanted to pass along. Click the link to find out more details, but basically, you can get a $37 credit in your Overstock.com shopping cart. By the way, once you click through to SlickDeals and find out what you need to do, the Overstock.com link you need to click is in the top right corner on the Woot site.

It apparently works for just one item, so try to find one item at $37.01 or more. Oh, and in the SlickDeals forum, some people are saying the code won’t work on media items.

Remember, it’s only a deal if you actually need the item!

I’ve been trying to find something I could use, but I’ve had a hard time so far. I’ve looked into bedding, furniture, baby things, clothing…but nothing is sticking out yet. Let me know if you find something good on the site!

UPDATE: I ended up buying Shane some brown dress shoes. I thought maybe I could combine my Ebates account with this deal, but it wouldn’t work (it’s either one deal or the other, and in this case, the Woot deal is the best).

I also took a screenshot of our confirmation page (Hit your ‘prtscreen” key then open Paint, go to Edit and click ‘paste’ and save it as a jpg) so I could have a record of it being $5.94 with shipping.

  1. Oh thank you so much! I just got my husband’s father’s day gift for $5.94, including shipping. That helped me out so much. Thank you.

  2. I spent $3.95 including shipping and got a sunflower cookie jar- DH has been asking for me to get a cookie jar for a while, from his fond memories of his grandmother having one. I got a sunflower one because we know I love sunflowers in my kitchen ;-)

  3. I purchased a digital kitchen scale for $5.94 – I’ve been wanting one for a while, to help me in my quest to eat healthier, and this is perfect.

  4. Thanks, Kacie! I just got a set of Amanda James 500 tc king size sheets for $3.94 total ($179.99 marked down to $37.99, with discount added, it was $0.99 plus S&H). Great deal, and something we needed!

  5. I went for the Cobra 5-mile two-way radios, $3.94 total. My husband and I are looking forward to taking it on our fall backpacking trip!

  6. Oh my goodness!!! I just bought my hubbie a pair of sneakers (he has been complaining for months that he needed a pair and that Walmart shoes were not going to cut it this time!) for 5.94 shipping and all! Reeboks for $5.94!!! Wowwweeee!!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

  7. Well, I was too late. Turns out, they only meant that to be a coupon for furniture. I live chatted with a rep and that’s the story they’re sticking too. I’m still keeping my order though, since it’s a father’s day gift.

  8. michelle,

did the customer service rep say that they would honor the coupons anyway? I’d really like to get those shoes for hubbie.

  9. I really hope everyone gets the deal they wanted. That’s the thing with those “too good to be true” deals.

I received an order confirmation for my order, and no notice of it being canceled or anything. I’ll let you know if any of that changes.

  10. I placed an order for a set of 400 count sheets around 5pm yesterday for $15. This morning it’s cancelled. Booo.

  11. Well, stink. My order was canceled, too. Apparently, that coupon for $37 off was only good on a particular nightstand (and it wouldn’t have been free).

Sorry for passing on a dud deal!

  12. Yep, my order was canceled too. Bummer!

As a computer programmer, I see where they went wrong, and this is their programming error. I suppose they would have lost a lot of unintended money had they let it slide, though.
