Pittsburgh’s second annual financial education fair
I saw a worthwhile advertisement while commuting to work recently. If you live near Pittsburgh, this upcoming financial education fair may be a perfect opportunity.
According to youcontrolyourmoney.com, the event will include on-site financial service from non-profit, government, and financial institutions free of charge!
When: Saturday, March 1st, 2008
Where: Duquesne University – Power Center in downtown Pittsburgh, PA
- Free 1-on-1 financial counseling
- Free tax preparation (for those with income below $40,000)
- Financial how-to workshops
- The chance to discover a variety of local business for financial help
Note: according to the site, most are non-profit or charge a small nominal fee for their services

What a great event! Sounds too good to be true. Just sorry that I do not live int that area!
I have only attended one such event, but it had no income limit. Be wary of the salesmen. Sometimes “free” means free chance to buy!
Can’t say I have but it seems quite a bonanza for a small business…
Hope some folks will make good use…
