Just posted an entry that came from your challenge. On my way to Aldi today, we found a new supermarket. Basically, we didn’t make it to Aldi (that will be next week now), but at your suggestion I changed up my routine & got great deals at Price Rite (it’s a discount chain owned by Shop Rite).

At your not so subtle suggestion, I created a menu. It may not be for this week, but I’ve got next week planned.

We shall see how it maximizes my savings. Between the Grocery Deal, Aldi and my fancy smancy spreadsheet from last week I’m not sure there’s another penny I can squeeze out of my grocery bill.

I finally got around to doing the challenge. I always thought we didn’t have an Aldi near me, but there is one about a 1/2 an hour away – so I am trying it out!

This is a good challenge! I like trying new things!
I decided to give the grocery game a shot, the trial seems like it won’t be too much of a loss if I don’t like it.
I am hoping for the best though, it seems quite promising!

Saving money in the area of groceries has been a struggle for me. We like food way too much in our famil! :) But this week we only spent $45 and that included buying food to feed 15-20 people at our Bible study potluck. This challenge is really helping me to work hard to meet my goals. Thanks!
