I just got into CVSing this fall, and as a stay at home mom, it's really helped out my budget. I'm able to get gallons of milk, diapers, and necessary toiletries at huge savings.

I appreciate the deal info I'm able to pick up on websites from the hard work you gals do.

Thanks!

Jessica,
Just to let you know you can view the weekly CVS flyer by going to cvs.com if you need to for any reason. Just type in your zip code I believe.

Yes... Your posts on what is available are very helpful. I have a CVS near me but I don't get their weekly flyer. I also have a Rite Aid and sometimes overlook the deals when I go through the flier. Thanks!

My store of choice is CVS because I just think their ECB program is easier & less time-consuming for my health.

I agree with your stance on being more "simple". I think some people hoard too much HBA stuff just because it's low-cost or free. There's also those that will clear off the shelves so there's nothing left for others, or they complain because they have to pay $1 or more out-of-pocket (geesh, how cheap). It's nice to hear of those who donate their extra, although I'm not sure that's the norm. I am glad that CVS puts limits on their ECB items now. It gives everyone a better chance at getting something which is more fair.

Since I've been hitting some deals the last few months we don't need much, so my visits have been few. My goal this year is using up what we already have vs buying more because it's a good deal. Bargains are helpful, but there should be a healthy balance with it all.

I love reading about your drugstore deals. I am a SAHM of 4 and I often miss some of these deals if I don't read about it on someone's blog. And let me tell ya, with 6 of us in the family we can go thru the drugstore items in a hurry!

I know a lot of people donate their overstock of free items and that is SUPER and I plan on doing so this year, but I thought I'd share with you what my MIL does. She has 4 children, 4 children-in-laws, and 10 grandchildren. For Christmas she fills stockings with things like soap, toothpaste, tooth brushes, deodorant, razors, etc. Everyone loves it!The kids get pens, note pads, pencils, crayons etc. as well. I'm the only one that coupons so the others are thrilled with getting these items as gifts. This year along with the stockings, she filled huge boxes with household items and medicine that she knows the person can use.

I "stole" her idea this year and made "goodie" bags for my brother, his wife, my grandmother and my uncle. Each gift was overflowing with useful (and none of it was more clutter to add to their lives) items and each bag was $3 or less. It was a big help with my budget and a very nice gift!

Not everyone coupons like many of us and we can bless lots of people with our savings!

I do agree about the blood gluclose monitors. I see people posting about these all the time and it just doesn't add up to me. Yes you're getting back the $$ you spent, but why spend it to begin with if you don't need it?

It's easy to get caught up in the thrill of saving, but it's only a savings if you or someone you know can use it.

Thanks for your hard work. I really enjoy your blog and I'm learning lots about money and saving from you.

Keep up the great work!

Its a blessing to be able to help people who dont have the time to figure out what and where the deals are to be able to lower their household budget.

And I ditto everyone else about being able to give to someone who needs it.

I am going to be posting a few ideas on great ways to help others when you have more than you need!
Have a great weekend!!!

I love the articles about the drugstores. I just started CVS-ing. It really helps when bloggers like you take the time to share the good deals that I don't have the time to find. I go for what I need if it's on sale - not because I'm getting it for free. Keep 'em coming!!

I LOVE reading about the drugstores! I mainly go to CVS (just did the Pepsi and the Soy Joy deals!) but if there is something I really want/need at Rite Aid or Walgreen, I will go there as well.

Things that I get in abundance that I don't need or use (which isn't much, seeing as I have three kids and a husband and we are always in need of extra toothpaste or shampoo) goes to a friend in need or to the crisis pregnancy center.

I got enough shampoo, mouthwash, feminine products, toothpaste, deoderant, etc. in October '06 that I am STILL using it! There was no limit back then, if you can believe that!

Keep on posting!
