My toiletry inventory

Kacie- I’d be curious to see how you have your inventory organized. I am pretty limited on storage space, however that hasn’t stopped me from stocking up! Every closet in my house has toilet paper, paper towels, or diapers in it!! I was wondering if I should buy a bunch of plastic bins, or maybe some shelving for the garage. I just need some ideas! Perhaps you could post some pictures of how yours is organized and maybe others will do the same. Since a lot of us are buying the same stuff, I’d love to see how the rest of the world lives! Thanks!

Ok, sure–thanks for the opportunity to play with my new camera! Earlier today, I wrote about taking an inventory of your toiletries so you know what you need and what you don’t.

At first, I started putting my extra supplies under the sink in the bathroom. That quickly got full, plus I couldn’t easily see what I had.

I took a large plastic bin that originally held blankets, put the blankets on a shelf and used the container to store all my extra toiletries. I keep it in my hall closet.

This bin is large (12″ x 22″ x 14″ ish). I think I want to limit all of my extra supplies to that bin and what’s already in my bathroom. I don’t see why two people would need more stashed away than that.

I have toilet paper in the bathroom under the sink and under our bed.

That’s about it!

Sylvia said she’d be interested to see how others store their extra toiletries. So, I’m going to try out this Mr. Linky thing and see how it goes. If you’d like to blog about it, be sure to post your link below.

I don’t have a blog or website, but just wanted to comment!
We live in a storage-space challenged old house! We bought a tall skinny mirrored cabinet from IKEA that holds extra contact supplies, shampoo, feminine supplies, plus our regular daily toiletries (but I keep my make up and hair stuff in our bedroom with that mirror) and a few bathroom cleaners. I only have 1-2 sets of toiletries in back up, but I’ve found that there are so many sales that I’m not ever stuck paying full price when I NEED to buy the stuff. Well, except my contact solution (AOSept) because it’s never on sale, just cheaper at Costco where my parents pick it up for me.
We have a double-TP holder, so I store the extra-extra TP in a closet that’s rather far from the bathroom.
I unwrap my soap bars and put them in a pretty basket on the back of the toilet - it dries/hardens the bars so they last longer while making the bathroom smell nice.
