Frugal Friday: Paper scraps

November 30th, 2007 at 12:10 pm

This isn’t groundbreaking by any means, but I thought I’d share it anyway.

I like to print Internet coupons whenever I can, but I hate how one coupon will use an entire sheet of computer paper. It’s so wasteful!

I cut the coupon out and save the scraps of paper. It’s typically at least a half of a sheet.

I have a pile on my desk for those scraps, and I use it for making shopping lists, jotting down ideas or other notes.

You can also save junk mail and write on the backs of envelopes.

Kacie I actually flip the sheet and print another coupon on the remaining lower half of clear paper. I also use the backs of junk mail for scrap paper.

I tried flipping it over to use the other side, but I haven’t had any luck.

The coupons I’ve printed have gone slightly over the halfway point of the page, so that would make me have coupons print on the other side of coupons–making one completely useless.

I do this too - I also go through my old notebooks and daytimers or flip a day calendars and rip out all the unused pages - I keep all little note pads that comein the mail (usually from real estate agents) and I have a box on my desk that all these papers go into - whenever I make a list (OFTEN), I grab a sheet from there.

that’s a great idea, I hate waste too. We should be able to choose the size of the coupons.
