I enjoy saving money at CVS, Walgreen’s and Rite Aid, but I realize that not everyone lives near these stores. When I can, I’ll write about deals about other national retailers.
I got the Dollar General ad in the mail, and there’s a few decent deals you can get if you use coupons. They don’t double at Dollar General, but at least you can use them.
Go by Friday to take advantage of these coupons (mine expire, anyway).
Dawn or Joy dish liquid 16 oz. for $0.85. Use your $0.30 off Joy or $0.25 off Dawn coupon in the P&G insert from 10/14/07 to make it $0.55 or $0.60. Those coupons expire on 11/30.
Charmin 9-roll Ultra Strong or Ultra Soft is on sale for $4. The 10/14 P&G insert has a $0.25 off coupon (expires on Nov. 30). I can’t tell by the fine print on the toilet paper packaging if these constitute double rolls or if they’re slightly bigger than regular or what. If they’re just regular, at $0.41 per roll with coupon, these are not a good deal. But if they’re actually double rolls, they are a better deal. Still, not the best.
Hmm, maybe I should do some research on the sizes and types of TP. Would anyone be interested in that?
Stayfree or Carefree assorted products are on sale for $2.50/pack. Use this $1 off Stayfree printable or $0.50 off Carefree printable for $1.50 or $2/pack products. I have a $1 off any 2 Carefree 34-72 ct products and a $2 off any 2 Stayfree products, but I don’t know which insert those coupons came in. Those both expire on 11/30. If I use those, it would be the same savings as the printables; I would just be able to get a greater quantity.
Not the best deals, but if you’re almost out of these items, they could hold you over until an even better deal comes along.

I’ve written before how much I love Dollar General.
Their generic OTC medicines are cheaper even than Walmart’s, particularly the children’s pain relievers. I always buy a bottle or two before winter as they sometimes sell out.
As far as general merchandise, you have to pick and choose, but I’ve found several good quality decorative items–like what you’d find in a gift shop–for a fraction of the catalog price.
As silly as it sounds, I’ve literally spent several minutes pouring over all the TP choices, trying to figure out what are the best buys for my money. I think it can be hard given all the different roll sizes and you definitely have to factor in quality.
May take some experimenting but can’t you print them on “used” paper??Like print one at one end on one side, on on the other–then cut??

I bought 3pack Kleenex’s for $2.50 which came out to .83cents a box.I haven’t seen a good buy in a while.
