Rite Aid savings this week

Yesterday, I decided to take a little blogging break. For one, I didn’t have anything to say, and two, sometimes you just need to step away from the computer for awhile. My husband and I drove around town and looked at all the pretty leaves. It was a lovely day!
I just got back from Rite Aid, with a bag full of good deals. I bought most of the items listed in my post here, including shampoo, body wash, two toothbrushes, and contact solution. Yippee! I think I bought the wrong nail polish for the NYC brand sale, so I’m planning on taking it back and get my $1.99 back.
In all, I paid $40.40 today. I expect all but the $1.68 in sales tax back. Subtract the nail polish, and that’s $38.41 and a little less sales tax paid.

I’ve never done the Rite Aid MIR before, do you need to get a book like Walgreen’s? How exactly does that work? How fast are they at getting the rebate back to you, does it come in check form or gift card form?
Thanks!
