How much are your appliances costing you?

Comments Off on How much are your appliances costing you?

I found another energy calculator I’d like to share with you. Everyone can use this one.

Want to know what the electric bill will be if you have the TV on for 4 hours each day? Or, what it would cost if you leave your computer on 24 hours/ day? [$285 for the year].

You plug in the wattage of a particular appliance, how many times you use it per day, and it estimates how much it will cost you in a year.

If you have a sense of the cost, perhaps it will encourage you to reduce your energy use.

I’m trying to fiddle with the numbers and figure out how to equally compare a crock pot to an oven.

For example, if I cooked a chicken, I would put it in the crock pot for four hours. In the oven, it would need perhaps two hours.

How much would this cost, in electricity, to use either method?

I’m having trouble with this calculator for this mystery. Can anyone help?
